GQ Style hasn't posted weekly wants in a while and quite possibly they realized the DECLINE03 version is better... Either way, it's that time of the week again and personally, I've been really busy with school work, but with the small time I have had I have pulled a couple pieces, I am really feeling at the moment.
For MoMA's recent fashion oriented exhibition they recreated several iconic garments and added MoMA branding. A part of that was this Yankee's hat. Personally, I think the overexposure of the "dad" hat has brought people back to the fitted hat, but expect a story on the evolution of headwear soon.
Porter is one of the most iconic luggage brands known for its quality and great design. I recently picked up a bag just like this one, that was a collaboration with Stussy, but am looking to purchase another in a different color like this navy one. Porter is actually a brand created by Yoshida Co., the parent company, and legendary streetwear designer Hiroshi Fujiwara.
We all know that display toys for grown ass men are the shit. This has long been proven by Kaws, Bounty Hunter, and Medicom. But, I have often found that the Kaws Companions and Medicom Bearbricks, although very cool, a little overdone. That's why on my upcoming trip to Japan I hope to pick up this Undercover toy, that I know will look sick on my bookshelf.
I've been a huge fan of Needles and Nepenthes as a whole for a while now, and have been eyeing out one of their incredible mohair knitwear pieces for quite a while. Although their cardigans are a little more popular, this sweater is to me the one I'll probably bite the bullet on. Of course it is very loud, but with simple styling, it will at those much-needed grandpa vibes to any outfit.
